In The Garden

Ciao gentle readers..

if you have been following me for a while you know that I

L O V E, love

my garden..

and that is probably not as passionate a word

to describe how I feel about

Cut peonies waiting to go into a vase..

my garden and gardening in general

like the impressionist painter Monet.. my garden gives me endless
opportunities to paint..
to draw and to imagine..

My peonies bloomed so late this year..
they always bloom by the end of May..

but they have just now bloomed, and while they were worth the wait..
I would have liked to have them bloom earlier..

This garden is our tiny back yard and the neighbors drive by daily because it
faces the alleyway that we share with 7 different families..
so I hear their comments and compliments and

it is rewarding to hear them..

I have had so many comments on my peonies..
and phlox this year which was so gorgeous and made me wish I had planted more!

There is something so lush and elegant about the peony..
if I had more space, I would definitely plant a field of peonies..

I am working on a new painting of Demeter..
which is giving me fits..

and several tiny books...

and I will have photos soon..

but I am also getting ready for my annual
