Early Spring..

Well gentle readers..

it is a bit early for 

Spring flowers...

but here we are!!

my tiny crocus are popping up

everyday... and I may have to paint them

the color is so sweet...

and I shot this little video of a very hungry little bee...

 

So enjoy a moment of Zen...

I am painting, sewing, drawing and ripping and tearing papers..in the studio..

and I will have more things

ready to show you soon!

The Garden in Autumn

Ciao, gentle readers..

It was chilly when we started our walk this morning 

and it was a perfect morning

to do some weeding

so I murdered some grass 

and cut a few things back...

Most of my gardens are doing well..

but I have had trouble with

Mildew

this year..

my peonies were completely covered and I cut them

down to the ground..

now my Zucchini 

are slowly dying of it and I will have to yank it out

before it contaminates anything else...

the garden with the troubles is West facing and 

is in shade most of the morning..

so it is susceptible to mildew with all the rain we have had..

we shut off the sprinklers..

even in 80 degree heat...

things are molding... ugh.

but seriously.. I can't complain when I still have these 

Hydrangeas blooming so gorgeously...

I am off to the studio..

I want to finish my Iris painting...

concentrating of that today...

Change of Season

It might be 

EARLY

autumn... but I am excited for the coming 

change of season....

tiny Chrysanthemum bloom

for one thing.. 

I don't know about you, but I am 

Snow ball bush changing color..

really looking for a cold winter..

and a traditional rest..

form working so hard and gardening so continuously...

but I am not taking a studio break..

I think that artists never really retire.. 

as long as the fingers, eyes and mind are still functioning we just 

create

its what we are called to do..

my garden has really come along..

growing into itself in the 3 years that we have been here..

most of these photos are of the front garden facing the street..

there was nothing here when we moved in..

just the snowball bushes...

and now all most all my perennials have started  to grow 

together...

I love that... so many things loving being together...

 the garden always gives me hope for the future..

living and loving in peace and harmony..

as well as a place that I will be painting soon..

Well gentle readers..

I am off to the studio.. wanting to finish a painting ..
