My Black Iris sold yesterday, 

to a long time friend and

Painting collector..

I know that I am best known for my mixed media

art work...

But I do have collectors who really love my

Paintings

 

This collector has 3 of my  paintings..

this one will be varnished and gallery hung

before it makes its way to her..

I know that many people 

are stretched 

financially these days and have heard

this from collectors as well

as other artists who have

been waiting for sales..

Which makes this sale 

all the more sweet...

It is the only floral painting that I have done that 

has a white background...

the Iris are from my garden of courser..

and the arrangement was in my Kitchen..

it's a nice contrast thought...

I think that flower is so abstract in form..

not easy to paint...

but I am pleased with the way it turned out..
