finally...
finished the cover of my new art journal
and I am ready to start January pages....
I used an antique silk cigarette memento
for the focal image and layered it on cotton, organza,
and handmade paste papers...
this is the original journal.... below
I bought a couple of them in pristine condition.. so rare...
with all pages intact and with no writing...
I layered photo copied document paper
in the center piece and covered the book horizontally
with a vintage velvet sash (from an old dress)
I added a vintage button and rayon ribbons to tie the journal shut
I rather missed that on my last journal...
and as you see, I put those sari ribbons to good use!
