is the title ...
of this first new piece
a close up below...
this work on paper
measures 15" x 15"
mixed media painting
and the following small pieces
are all
"Italian collage"
several of you asked me about
this process
I call it Italian collage, because
I use a pasta machine
to press the collage so that the layers combine ...
neatly with the substrate
I like to use a lot of layers of collage
and different textures and I prefer smooth
edges...
and you know how I love a restricted palette...
each of these
measures 4" x 5"
and is hand stitched to
khadi paper measuring 8" x 8" 1/2
working on getting new these new smalls mailed
out to my gallery
and also working on a couple of cradled gesso boards..
and of course...
November pages in my art journal are almost finished...
hope your spring or autumn is
splendid..
ciao, ciao!

size and color is so perfect...personal, intimate, something to hold close and dear. the heart is never lost...it always returns. Bella.
