pentwater beach

gentle readers...

getting to the beach early is the only way to go...

before the crowds...

and before the sun gets too hot... 

the water of Lake  Michigan is crystal clear...

and brutally cold mid summer... 60 degrees is too cold for me...

but Michiganders are hardy people and by the time we left...

everyone was in the water...

Pentwater  is a charming town...

and we love to drive up for a beach day...

and as you can see, it was a perfect day...

not a cloud in the sky...

heaven must be a lot like the beach...

wherever you are dear reader...

I hope it is not as hot as it has been here...

we have been frying in this unbelievable heat wave...

and so Mr. LDV and I decided 

to journey 

up north and take in a beach day 

on Sunday

don't be surprised if we move up here...

Pentwater

a charming town

and right about now, I would not mind 3-4 feet of snow..

not uncommon here with the lake effect

the beach was crowded..

but not packed...

it was just so nice to be close to such a large lake

wading in the crystal cool...

fresh water

with trees to provide much needed shade...

sigh..

so peaceful...

relaxing...

connecting to all that is...

beach therapy... does the soul good...
