I am moving again..
yes,
I realize the boxes aren't even dusty yet..
but we found a lovely forever home
and ..
yes,
I have moved three times in three years...
but......
I am very excited to
have a home and gardens again..
so I have been in the studio constantly...
working to finish my new Sew article for December
and another project that needs my attention...
so I have sneaky peeks ....
of wips to show you.. mini collages of collages...
I have been using a found stencil ...
and
gold leaf, which is always tricky at best...
and stitches of course...
which are my salvation and my meditation..
they save me from the aggravation of gold leaf...
So off I go to finish the work..
and looking forward to a brilliant weekend..
and wishing the same for you..

Fantastic mixmedia work!!!
Gorgeous works as always! I'll look for your article in Sew when it's available -- that's the ONLY Stampington mag I buy occasionally. Have a wonderful weekend. And congrats on finding the home of your dreams! xo
Best of luck to you on this move into great home and garden!
Packing up the studio is never easy but creating some last minute beauties before always helps and these close ups are lovely!
Analia Cristina... it is always so nice to have you stop by, thank you!
Hi Connie Rose, and thank you for your kind remarks and supporting the zine. I so appreciate it!!
Mary Ann, I dread packing the studio, it is always such a chore, and even though it is scaled down, there will be the inevitable unpacking of boxes that have been stored for so long... ugh ... But yes, finally, a place to put down roots!!
Good luck Caterina...I'm amazed that you can create amidst such an upheaval. Yet you do...and beautifully.
You have so much for which to look forward. Good for you. Am loving your snippets. I've been working with snippets all day. Bags and bags of snippets. No doubt I would be more organized if I had a deadline of some sort, but still I chug along ! All best with the move.
Caterina, just one more time, hold on..! It must be worth it, success!
Breathtakingly beautiful!
Once again...good luck with the move. Forever home sounds good. And such beauty that you have shared in all these images. Thank you!
I'm thrilled for you Cat. A permanent home is of course, a wonderful thing. It will be good to set up your own studio again, just the way you want it, and have a patch of ground to grow your lovely veggies. So happy for you, but don't envy you the move!
A forever home sounds lovely. Now you can plot and plan and nest after a hectic year!
Well how exciting is that Cat! knowing you won't have to pack boxes again after that is a reward all in itself...
The gold touches in your collages are very rich and worth the trouble me thinks...
Enjoy * Enjoy!

Thanks Jo ... I pared the studio and kept only the bare minimum the rest is in storage.. we do what we have to right?
Thank you Marie, and your snippets will be fabulous!!
Regina!! so nice to see you here! Thank you!
Hi Ingrid, thanks for stopping by and for your kind compliment!
Seth, always nice to have you stop by for a visit! Of course I will always think of CO as home, but this will have to do!!
Thanks E, I am very excited, and only 7 weeks, so much to do! Yes a patch of ground to call mine and looong growing season!! x
Robyn, thank you, yes, I am plotting and planning and buying a new garden book for plans, very exciting..
Oh Patty, yes, finally! We have enjoyed Virginia, but still too much winter for our taste, off to beaches and hot weather... and thanks for the reassurance about the gold!! xoxo
Dear Caterina, it is so hard to box everything again, but you will hopefully find happines and joy on your new adress, and be able to stay there for the rest of your life .
The little looks from your new creations are so exiting, and I love the gold , it looks so much more beautiful, than any painted gold, so worth the troubles :-)
Hugs and happy hours dreaming of your new home !!

Another move ...wow!
Must be some place very special.
Your work is beautiful
xo
Another one that thinks the gold looks fab…. you don't need much to make such a difference to a piece eh?!
Good luck with the packing… then the unpacking xo
Gold leaf on fabric, I have never seen that done before. Finicky stuff but so beautiful.
