my how the week
screams by..
here it is the weekend already...
but I managed to finish my April
journal pages
to show you..
stitching again...
paper quilts from envelopes and wrapping papers..
and I used an old french book with prints of paintings..
still thinking about creative intention..
and the papers that I choose and the stories that I am sewing, weaving
and threading in my work..
I love to leave the threads hanging off the stitched paper...
like words trailing.. or ideas lingering...
and when you see the journal in person...
you cannot help but touch it...
it begs you...
ingredients: gesso, acrylic paint, pencil, colored pencil, paper ephemera, thread, walnut ink, alcohol gel medium, inks, stencils..
to make this spread, I glued the scraps of paper together like a quilt and then hand stitched it
I used envelopes from cards that friends have sent to me,
a paper quilt stitched with love...
I suppose I have always known that
what I want to create
would be stitched, painted and sewn with love...
I am off to the studio now to make cool stuff...
I hope you have a lovely weekend...
I am planning to put my feet up and sit on the patio
in the sun with a glass of wine..
it is my one weakness...
you know..
