I did a self portrait.. and I had no intention of doing
another selfie for this year...
but then I saw a posting on
Tumblr...
that I remembered from my younger years..

and since I always write
an annual love letter to myself for Valentines day
I thought ... why not... start early?
and ...
dig myself...
so here you have it...
last year I did the work using a mirror, and this year I worked from a photo that I took last year..
my journal below, resting in the chair in my studio...
ingredients: book pages, acrylic paint, pencil, colored pencils...
and many thanks for all your kind remarks about my
birthday...
it was the loveliest ... so far!
but I say that every year!!
