August Journal Pages

I suppose it won't be a surprise to you
gentle reader that
August
pages are all about

my family
and my visit to
Traverse City
and our reunion...

Ingredients: paper ephemera, gesso, acrylic paint, pencil, colored pencils, glimmer mist, art graf pencils, tissue papers

My journal above is creaking under the weight of
two years of mixed media pages
I will end this journal in December and finish
the end pages and the covers...

it is always an emotional process for me..
ending and beginning..

made more interesting by making decisions about a new journal
since I have been using antique and vintage journals for many years now...

and
I think I am ready for a new format...

not sure about what that will be
but you will be the first to know...

grin...

I hope your summer was as wonderful as mine

and our autumn will be
gorgeous...

xo

Marvelous as usual! can't wait to see what your next journal will look
like. I get it about endings and beginnings. I've been working on finishing up
some unfinished things, it's time to move on!!! xo

Oh so soothing and soft. Love your pages!
Endings can be fulfilling and achieving goals - little and big!
Beginnings can be daunting but promising and exciting in choosing new ways etc.
Lovely memories for you here Cat that will last in your heart and in your journal!
x Suzy

Bonjour,

Un journal riche en émotions que vous conserverez.
Je pense qu'il est nécessaire dans la vie qu'il y ait un début et une fin... une évolution formidable et une ouverture sur de nouvelles sensations.

Gros bisous ♡

How inspiring it would be to go through all your journals. So many layers and such detail in each and every page.

Your pages are always so serene to me, I want to dive right in and live there. So beautiful Cat! Glad to know that you enjoyed your family, that is so important.

These images are beautiful. I'm immersed in indigo and the gray and rich blues of your images showed up on my screen as a gift. Glad you had such a wonderful summer and I'm also looking forward to autumn!

I seem to be playing catch up all the time lately. These are gorgeous pages, and your art is always so beautiful and personal. I am in awe of the hand drawn flowers, too.

I'm glad autumn is coming in your area. Today, as I was working, I got heat exhaustion, which is the stage just below a heat stroke, so autumn is not yet in my neighborhood. Hope you are enjoying these times, because you are truly blessed.

Gail, I have to finish this one first!! inside covers and three more months... though you are right, I should start considering it... I suppose!! xoxo

Thank you Suzi, trying not to get caught up in thinking about it all, and stay focused on right here and now! But yes, I adore beginnings, closing things up always feels a bit sad to me... but definitely an opportunity to work it all out!! xo

Hi Donna, it is a chubby journal, but you are right, there is a definite lushness about it, and I am beginning to feel a sense of great accomplishment!! Thanks!

ah, Merci! Je suis d'accord , il ya une merveilleuse évolution des sens ainsi que la croissance de mon travail . Débuts et les fins sont tous les deux qu'il convient de préserver . Merci beaucoup xo

Hey Corrine, this was our first reunion!! at least with the Giglio's, the other branch meets regularly, but the rest of us are flung out to the far ends! It was very nice, and great to see everyone! xox
