ciao, gentle readers...
it was a long journey but
I am finally home
and settling in
despite the serious rain...
and as I promised you before I left...
I have my april journal pages
here
a lot behind, I know
but I have been slightly
preoccupied...
so I hope you will forgive me..
the full spread is below
been nesting...
as you know
and still working on pieces for my show,
which will be in my next post...
using my journal pages as my rough sketches for
my show pieces has been wonderful...
they are like a silent confidante
holding close my ideas as they mature...
ingredients this month: acrylic paint, antique ephemera, pen, pencil, colored pencil, walnut inks, tissue papers, china marker, paper shred, transfer on papers...
it is so nice to be blogging again
I missed you all..
I will be off to visit your blogs shortly...
oh ... and I have a new post at
if you want to see my new back yard and
soon to be ... garden...
ciao, ciao...

Beautiful pages Cat - and thank you for sharing them with us. I love what you say about your journal being the confidante holding your ideas until they mature. That says so much about the process.

The colors and subject matter of your journal pages are wonderful. And so appropriate for you right now going through a move and all. Have a good week-end.

Welcome back! Missed you! I can hear the creak of your pages as they turn. Great color and composition.
welcome home, Cat, to your nest. This one on your pages is very lovely. Makes me think of the best parts of being home too, (which I am), making art and watching the birds... roxanne
Just gorgeous and I can't wait to see the artwork. Miss you!
Très très beau travail. L'art permet tellement de se dépasser pour atteindre la sensibilité de l'autre qu'il est pour moi, une des plus précieuses façons de s'exprimer.
Amitiés,
Roger
