Mini Fabric Concertina

I think I will add a bit more
cheese cloth
and maybe one other touch or two...

but for the most part..
I am in love with my
little concertina...

I hope you try it and just have fun with it...
hoping the awl will help those who do not have the
dexterity to hand stitch..

have a magnificent weekend...
gentle readers and dear viewers..

This is lovely. I REALLY am impressed with the tea dyed fabric. It came out so lovely.

I should start gluing my elements in place before I sew them. When I think to do that, I get a much better sewn journal page and less shifting.

I would love to try one of these, but I would have to sew it on the machine, since I can't grip a needle. They are all most impressive and the one with the butterflies really touched me the most.

Bellissimo! I would not be able to keep my hands off that book--the feel of old fabric is so wonderful. I also love the use of the player piano paper. I was gifted a few rolls in February and was surprised to find that some of them include lyrics.

I can't sew any more, having only the one usable hand, but I just wanted to say Pilgrimage is one of my favourite books (over in your sidebar) - I, too, give it 5 out of 5 :)
Happy Saturday xx

Dear Caterina - thank you so much for your kind sharing......your work is beautiful. The way you communicate is wonderful, lovely, clear and gentle. I know I have some vintage fabric that needs to be found and dyed and made into a precious journal. What a nice way to start my weekend.

Hi Dr. E! i was hoping that since I used an awl to hole punch first that it might be easier for you, but a machine stitch would be fine to use. So glad you liked the little butterfly book, it is one of my favorites. Thanks always for your kind remarks, they mean so much to me! x

Hi Miss Iowa! Yes, it is remarkable that some have lyrics and so fun to go through them synchronistically isn't it? Happy you liked it and and I have finished embellishing it and you are right, I cannot keep my hands off it either!! :)
