Blog Changes, Art Books and Blog Friends

In case you have not noticed, I have made a few changes
to my site..

First of all ..
I changed my side bar and added a page for
Blog Friends
just below my header...

If you do not see your blog there
please remind me to add your name,

the other change is a feature that I added
to the side bar..

Concerning art books...

I realized that I rarely mention the books
that I am reading,
and thought you might be interested in knowing what I
I was reading..

I am a reader,
and read as much as I can while still
putting in as much time in the studio
as possible..

The books listed here will all be art books..

fiction, non fiction
and technique..

if it has to do with art, I will probably want to read it..

this book
was a holiday present..
and I have been waiting to read it..

putting it off and enjoying the anticipation
of devouring each page of loveliness

Titian Peale's Lost Manuscript

so as I sat down to peruse and enjoy..

I thought you would like to peek over my shoulder
and take a look inside..

because it is stunning..

If you are a reader like me..
I hope you enjoy the new feature

I am also on Goodreads..

so you can find me there..
I am just updating my art book past reads..

thanks so much for stopping by..

have a great week..

Oh yes! Books. So enchanting to hold, flip the pages, smell the uniqueness and savour the flavour. I have an extensive library of mixed media and quilting / patchwork books which I just adore and which keep me alive!

Books, always books. I would be lost without them. I'm on Goodreads, too. xoxo

I have at least six shelves filled with statistics, math (all the way to differential equations), and methodology. I have at least six shelves of engineering books. I have at least three shelves filled with art and artist books. I have ONE shelf filled with art process, mixed media, and technique related books. I was slow coming to this craft, but I also devour everything I read.

I only read books. No e-reader for me. There's something about the wonderful feel of the paper against my hands as I turn the pages.

Your beautiful holiday gift is the perfect way to introduce us to your redesigned blog. Those butterflies stole my heart. They are gorgeous.

Speaking of redesigned blog, I didn't notice Jo Murray's blog or the Cerulean blog.

Yes, books! I am an avid reader and am always interested in what others are reading so that addition is a plus for me.

Happy to be your blog friend!!!
I've become a streaming movie addict...series, movies...episodes that lead into more and more.
Also love the quiet reflection of a good book but for now its popcorn and the big chair.

I like all your changes, Cat, especially the book list! Knowing how much we have in common, I know I'm going to discover some goodies!

I always enjoy reading your blog posts and watching your videos. Perhaps you would add me to your blog friend list. You might be particularly interested in the little book I made after your mini collage tutorial.

Do keep up the good work. Thank you. Sonia

Wow, Dr. E, I started to glaze over with the word statistics! But then I recovered when I read about the art books. Like you, I love books!! And thank you so much for the tip, I have added both blogs to my list, and if you can think of anyone else, please let me know!! x
