Home Again

Reunions do that...
make you think about the nature of home..

where you came from...

and where you are going...
at least it makes me ponder it...
we had a most excellent time,
visiting family...

and staying with my cousin
Gilda..
in Traverse City
which in my humble opinion is a great town..
and well kept secret...

We took Mario Batali's
recommendation and went to

which was superb...

and of course we had
a beautiful reunion...
kissed a baby, reconnected, hugged and laughed
and watched the bocce ball bounce around the court...

yes,
I must say a good time was had by all...

so I will be getting back to the studio...
but I have a few more photos to share...
since we did stop by the Biltmore House
on our way home, and you might want to see those gardens..

thank you dear reader...
always ...
for you kind attention...

I miss you both already. You are right that everyone enjoyed the reunion, and it is all because you instigated it and organized it. Love and hugs!

I know some folks who bought a house in Traverse City last year. They teach here but go there during the summer. Glad you had a nice family reunion. Best wishes, Tammy

Hi Caterina,
Welcome back home! So funny that you write about Traverse City. This was a big surprise to us when we traveled Michigan in2010. I remember the lake, the beautiful landscape around it and lots of people being active with sports in one way or another. It also was the time of the cherry festival! Looking forward to future art by you, grtz Regina

Oh, Regina, the cherry festival is such a busy time!! They also have a film festival which is amazing too! We avoided both weeks so the traffic and the restaurants would not be so busy!! Glad you had a good time!! xox

Sounds like you had a lovely time and made some sweet memories ♥
it is always nice to have a chance to discover the special spots of different places. I truly believe that they exist everywhere if we just take time to find them.
Welcome Back oxo

It sounds like you had a wonderful family reunion; it's always good to spend time with those you love, especially if you don't get to see them often. I can't wait for the Biltmore photos; I haven't been there in years, but I remember that the gardens were so glorious, they alone were worth the price of admission!

First you were gone, then I was gone, and now we are both back. Your trip was SO much more interesting, photographic, and enjoyable than the one I took. It's always good to bring back great memories and awesome photos. So very glad your trip was a success, and I bet everyone LOVED the gifts you gave them! Welcome back, dear!
