Mt. Dora

all work and no play
makes Cat a dull girl...
So we journeyed over to
Mt. Dora

not exactly a mountain...

but definitely hilly...
with a lovely lake..

and some darling shops..
it used to be an antique haven...

and I expected to take some photos of antiques to share with you..
but those days are gone.. or I should say, those shops are gone..

we did find one tiny antique store, but most are tourist shops..

and then there was this beautiful restaurant..
below...

it was stunning and we agreed to try it out the next time we ventured
to the mountain..

the tree in the courtyard of the restaurant was
spectacular...
below...
and the clock was pretty cool too, I might add...

and the tropicals were beautiful...

then we walked...

out of the courtyard...

and down to the lake...

where this guy was fishing...
and he was so still... he was the perfect subject...

So finally, the carpet has arrived,
most of the furniture is put together...
just the flat file remains, and the house is starting to come together..

I have even put a few perennials in the garden...

so we are taking Labor Day week off
heading to the Bahamas...
living in Florida affords us the luxury of those fabulous
last minute cruise deals...

and you know how I love the beach..
grin.

I promise....will bring you another travelogue..

so Ciao, Ciao dear readers...

Once again, your photos are simply lovely. Very impressive.

Isn't it sad when an entire area changes, and not for the better? At least you found some beautiful scenery to photograph.

Have a beautiful weekend and holiday. Can't wait to see the Bahamas through your lens (and the house, too).

Dear Caterina, how wonderful, with a tour to the Bahamas, it will be a beautiful vacation for you both.
The restaurant looks lovely and so cozy, but so sad the city changes that much !!
I`m happy for you that your house are almost ready to start living !!
Hugs, Dorthe

Thank you all for your lovely and kind comments... Life is traveling so fast for me right now... I have not had time to be a good blogger... we all know how that is, I am wanting to visit all your blogs and see you on FB and I simply have so little time.... we have two more trips planned and I am working on unpacking the studio as well as meeting contractors for the house... sending you all hugs and grateful thanks for stopping by and I will hopefully be out in blog land soon!! xo
