beautiful weeds

with all the water we have received...
the weeds are going crazy this year..

and while we do have have beautiful weeds...

they have of course multiplied with moisture...

along the roadsides in the mitten state...

I marvel at their beauty..

and cannot tell the difference between...

a flower and a weed...

can you?

Wonderful wildflowers. I have always love the flowers that plant themselves wherever they want to grow. Also love the picture of the dragonfly, thank you for sharing these lovely photos, it was a pleasure to come and see them.

I have a garden full of weeds! Some are intentionally planted and some arrived on their own. Some people call them weeds, I call them gorgeous flowers. None are as beautiful as what you've shown here, though.

I guess weeds are in the eye of the beholder. I have NEVER been fond of dandelions, but some people grow them for their flowers and leaves. Seems they go well in salads. I'll take arugula over dandelions any day, though.

Queen Anne's Lace is truly beautiful!!

Lol! Lovely photos! I just had to laugh because no, I can't tell the difference most of the time. When you come from the Nevada desert to live in the PNW if it's green and has a flower, it's pretty!

Not sure why WEED sounds like a four letter work ...apart from it actually having 4 letters ;)

How can you not Love all of that beauty especially along the roadsides...in our gardens is a little different matter, but I confess I have let the Queen Anne's Lace romp as I so enjoy pressing the blooms

Happy August Dear Cat ♥

Beautiful weeds. I think many plants that we now think are not weeds, at one time they were considered weeds. Herbs are one example. These weeds are very pretty.

O love them all...........the thing I do not understand is why did they decide to call them wild flowers. Queen Anne's Lace is abundant here also as well as the blue chickory along the roadside. We did get the small house so I will be able to go to the hospital with Ken ...and be close to the little ones ... and come home to have a peaceful rest. The woman we bought the house from has some small but beautiful gardens...Have a wonderful weekend. Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart

Yes my eye surgery has gone well and I am seeing colors like gangbusters! Now my lens are taking some time to heal and I go back on Friday morning to see how accurate the new vision is now. I have Crystalline lens...and they cost me a bundle but we only have two precious eyes. Thank you for visiting and for supporting me in all of these changes. Peace, Mary Helen
