open house

we listed the house last Wednesday
and last Saturday we had an open house...
the first showing..

and since we had to be out of the house for a few hours...

we decided to go into Ann Arbor
to shop at Whole Foods

and since it was lunch time and we were both
peckish
we decided to have libations and nibbles...

it is easy to get gluten free crackers and they have a lovely bar area to taste wines and beers..
cheeses, and crackers...

I had a glass of Saldo Wine the second bottle above
which was fabulous...
and $31.00 a bottle...

the cheese tasting is pretty generous
and we had triple cream French Brie, Manchego and Zingerman's Goat cheese which is a local company..

and of course we had to have gelato to go...

we arrived home to find we had an offer on the house

Sold!

and so we are packing up and moving
away..
to the sea...

I will be back on Friday with a new post...

wow- eating all that good food must have been lucky! Maybe I should try it! Congrats on selling your house, Cat; I know it must be difficult to move again, but I hope you'll like your new place just as much.

Congratulations, you must be living right! Thanks a lot for getting my salivary glands acting up this morning, I'd better go forage in my fridge for breakfast.
I hope you have as good luck finding a place!

I am SO jealous. I remember going to both Whole Foods and Trader Joes when I was in CA. Neither of these are anywhere close to me. Our choices: Dillons (Kroger), Aldi, and WalMart. And we're the biggest city in the state! I want to visit Whole Foods again and experience some of that awesome cheese. I bought some Blueberry Cheddar the other day, and another kind I can't even pronounce, but haven't tried either, yet.

I'm super impressed you sold your house so quickly. Houses in my neighborhood sit anywhere from six months to up to a year before anyone makes an offer. You have NO idea how lucky you got.

I look forward to being sea bound with you! Just remember to drink all that wine before you go. You can't take it with you and the moving companies won't pack it, either.

I'm happy for you and your quick sale. The housing market is picking up in our area too. Which "sea" are you moving to? I love to be near the sea and couldn't imagine not having it closeby.

I'll go anywhere to get cheese and ice-cream! :-)

Good luck with the move.
