June Art Journal Pages

Ciao, gentle readers..

Let me start by saying that my blog has always been
a non political site..

strictly about my art work ...
it was originally written as an online
diary of what was taking place in my studio...

That is not going to change today..

but
I am going to explain a bit about what my
June pages revealed..
and to do that,
I must talk about what is happening here in this country..

If you do not live here,
and you live abroad..
you may not realize that what is happening is nothing short of a
civil war..

Even if you live here, you might not realize it yet..

I do not say this lightly...
and though it looks different from the last one
it is a true war..
being waged within both parties..
and in homes and families all across this land..

The very fabric of this nation is being torn apart..

as I am an antique artist,
I have history to remember and not since
The Viet Nam War and Watergate
has the country been so divided...

We are facing grave issues and moral challenges...

and my pages reflect all of that..

since I am an artist of a certain age, I can say this,
that love and beauty always win..
that truth and justice will rule the day,

Though I believe this completely..
I still find myself ripping back the darkness to try to reveal the

heart...

Ingredients: Mono print on tracing paper, antique book pages, acrylic paint, colored pencil.

We will soon be on vacation so...

Next week I will be back on Wednesday
with my YT post
on Transfers..

Thank you always
for your kindness and for reading this little blog..
I so gratefully appreciate it..

Ciao, ciao!
