The Naturalists' Notebook Show

You know you are in the right place..
when you see the loveliest
French shop
with the little gallerie

tucked around the window and just
below..

down ancient stairs
and into the cool of the
sanctuary below...

Meg
crafted the most beautiful windows

for
The Naturalists' Notebook show
taking great care to create something
that would wow
visitors and collectors and stop them
in their tracks..

The ancient urns outside were magnificent

Ancient urns with the menu, prices and my artist statement for The Naturalists' Notebook

and who could resist this wonderful, welcoming
ambiance.. ?

that evening the posters were placed on music stands..
at the front of the store and gallerie..

and in the planters
they placed
the menu
which included prices
and
artist statement

I adored the skirt
she made from the Cavallini
papers..

and right around the corner and
just below...
down well worn steps...
is
142
Bis
Gallerie..

Meg set the whole area, as it appeared in my dream
with an antique settee
and lots of ephemera
nestled about...

winged creatures
all hanging out together..

It was quite stunning...

I cannot express the overwhelming feeling of seeing all
my work displayed
in such a beautiful fashion..
it took my breath away...

The Notebook
was displayed below
so that collectors
could leaf through it easily...
with as little stress on the old book as possible..

how often do you get the chance to purchase the rough draft for
a piece of art as well as the finished painting?

it was well received
and we had a great turn out...

The dream is written on the poster hanging from the ceiling on the left... as collectors peruse the show.

we held two shows...
one on Friday evening,
and one on Saturday afternoon..
it was so lovely to see so many friends
and collectors
and to spend time with this
woman

Meg DeWeese..
Meg has owned
EsScentuals
and
Bis Gallerie
for 27 years!

and
she has represented me for
10 years
we were so happy to
celebrate
not only the show..
but our
anniversary..

a little champs was involved!!
