Beach Balm

For those of you
getting sweaters out and harvesting pumpkins
it is still summer
here..

just sans tourists..
it is time right now for the locals
to come out and play..

our weather won't really break until late October...

So we took a day off last week,
to journey to the beach..
to enjoy the balm
of the ocean..

and the hypnotic sound of the surf..
a meditation in itself...

the expanse of sky and ocean..
reminds me that possibilities are simply unlimited...

and there are reasons
that it is called
Clearwater Beach..

the clouds were spectacular..

kissing the sand dunes
and hugging the shore...

it was a perfect day..
sparkly, peaceful..

a perfect
balm for the soul...

see you next week with
my new travel journal..

ciao, ciao!

Perfect! We are celebrating the beach without the tourists as well and we are having a heat wave too! Nice you enjoyed the beach between storms and savored the sand and water with beautiful clouds...wow!

Just to be able to walk freely on the beach taking in the harmony of the sounds and colours is a blessing that some folk will never be able to enjoy!
Yes it is great to be alive!

I'm in a land locked state, so no beach anywhere near me. But I enjoyed your lovely beach, surf, and sand photos. They were certainly relaxing and beautiful.

It's still hot here, too. It's often mid to late October before our weather changes. Enjoy these days, because soon they will be less and less attractive.

So beautiful! Still hot here for sure, but with a slight cool down. Take care!

Dear Cat,
your amazing beach ,so filled with white sand, and the clearest water, so beautiful. Almost not a soul to see, only the nature, and a lonely jellyfish,-Oh I know the balm of listening to the surf, the beauty of sky and sea, ..and I miss it here ,where it is not to see, just looking out my window. I have to move a little on my feet first, lol- but then here it is, too, in my new surroundings, only few minutes away, not as big a beach as yours, not as spectacular in size, but wonderful, -somewhere with rocks, somewhere with the bare white sand !! I know you have had the most beautiful day, with your husband, there. Getting kissed by the sun, and filled with joy through your eyes and nose.
Hugs to you dear !!

Beautiful blues and that pretty white sand!
Funny about the tourists... now is a nice time to go into DC with fewer people too
Happy September oxo
p.s. that doll head planter was a gift from a good friend...she is definitely a keeper ♥

Hi Suzy, I so agree, and I feel sad for folks that never get the chance to see the beach ... Life is good, I agree! xoxo

Gosh, E, that sounds so late, but you don't have mountains like Colorado, which makes it cooler... we will be cooling off about the same time then! thanks for stopping by... and always leaving a kind word or two! x

Oh Dorthe, I am so glad you can still get to the beach, even if it a bit of a walk.. we travel for an hour to get to this beach, but it is so worthwhile! It does us both such good! As you know it is a true balm for the spirits! xoxo

Hey Patty, I do remember that about DC, even though I was only in Chessy for a year, it makes such a difference doesn't it? Seems to me we did an ATC swap eons ago with doll heads, so creepy and awesome! xoxo
