France On My Mind.....

We just returned from
Texas
where we visited with family
and attended a lovely wedding...

it was so nice to play with grandkids and
see family again
and what a nice reason to reunite...

unplugged from our devices and driving out
to the twigs in rural Texas, we were blissfully ignorant of the
carnage in Paris...

so when we returned home..
gentle reader, I went through my photos of France..

to find a few
gems

to remind us of the beauty...

the culture,
the arts,
the antiquities,
the love,
the romance,

and
of course
 liberty, equality and fraternity..

I  pray for the healing of all of
the people of
Paris
regardless of their religion..

and I trust that love will find a way...

I didn’t hear about it either Cat, until well after the fact. Your post is a lovely tribute and your pics remind me, that although our hearts are heavy and we may take a battering, our spirit will not be destroyed by these senseless and barbarous acts.

I agree -- with both of you. The French will stay strong and we stand with them. I will go back as soon as I can to that lovely city.

Thank you dear Sylvia, our spirits are strong, because we know that love will win, it always does... xo

Pamela, as you know we have a trip planned to Europe next fall, but oddly enough we had changed our minds about flying to Paris for a few days and decided to fly to Rome instead.. then the attacks happened and we both looked at each other and thought it was such a synchronicity.. So we plan on traveling through Italy for a week and then we cruise back home for 7 days... still looking forward to it..!

I simply adore your tribute to Paris. I keep thinking how much the visual arts community has come together to show their love and support for this beautiful city I have never been to. I also think the music community must be reeling, too, because music fans seem to be harder hit than the sports community due to the bomber who (thankfully) couldn't get his act together in time to do much damage. Your tribute speaks volumes.

The photos from the wedding are lovely, and I loved the quote "driving out to the twigs . . ." because I lived in one of those rural twigs in MO. before moving to KS.

Deareat Cat, what a beautiful tribute to Paris and our world. Your gorgeous photoes from The City of Cities, -as we call Paris in Denmark- are showing all you speak of, and all we love, about that place.
Yes lets trust that the love we share so many of us, will find a way , and lets hope and pray for healing for everyone in the world having been hit by terrorists !!
Love to you.

E, Thank you, I agree that we have all come together to help to heal and yes, musicians are struggling with the pain as well... we all have to find our way. All the photos are from France, most taken near Giverny or Rouen. LOL about the "twigs" I have always called rural parts, TWIGS!! x

Yes, Dear Dorthe, we must trust that Love will find a way and will overcome the hatred and the darkness ... I truly believe that it will be so. I send you much love and light, dear friend! xoxo

You are so Right, Corrine, we must pray for the world, pray for the fearful and know that love will prevail! xox

So much of the world is suffering.
The horrors in Paris have really brought it to the forefront.
It leaves me at a loss for words.
This time last week Mr M and I were starting to plan our anniversary celebration for next spring...a tour of France.
I have always wanted to return after a magical visit on my own many years ago.
Sending Peace Love and Light always.
Take care dear one.
