Autumn at the Beach

It really doesn't matter where you live...

When autumn arrives,
it brings that unmistakable, and perceptible
change..

that everyone and everything feels..

the cold north wind,
cruel as she can be, will make so many changes...

even the waters are rougher
as turquoise gives way to navy...

and white will take the place of green...

but here, even with a change of season...
and the fall of leaves...

there is always the promise of
spring..

Autumn has been very inspirational...
and I have created some new small works
for my December show
at

I am hoping to have a few pieces to share with you soon..

from my French Paper Series

Le Jardin D'Hiver
Italian collages with drawings on old parchment

ciao, ciao...

Gros bisous ☼

Oh I can almost feel that cold wind coming in across the water but, life would be so much less without these amazing changes of nature.
Love the depth of your changing greens to blue - so beautiful!
Hugs,
Suzy

Love this season everywhere, but I will say the cold north wind here has brought out the hat and gloves for my tidal river walks. Looking forward to your new work. xox

Ah, Suzi, it has cooled greatly here in Florida and the prediction is a cold winter for us, although not like the north for sure... and plenty of sunshine, but we feel it nontheless! I agree how boing life would be without change! xo

Lisa, dear, small Mediterranean people should always live in warm climates... come down here with me in Florida and leave the shoveling to Scandinavians... LOL xxoo

No gloves here, Corrine, in fact I must try to remember where I packed them for our winter trip up north!! xox

Your beach is so different from mine, dear Cat, wide ,white, and without the many stones , we have here. Your ocean more turquoise, and nothing as far as your eye reaches,-here we have a yet smaller island ,than Bornholm, to be able to see when not cloudy.
Your photoes are stunning again, and love the one with the seagul, where I live we fear the cold and hars east wind !!
I love the change of seasons , even the cold and frosty winter, as I would not like to live where no changes of beauty happened.
Thank you sweetie for this beautiful visit, I look forward seing your new art !!
Hugs.

The autumn and winter changes here at the beach are subtle. One especially is at the Boardwalk where the waves of children and screams of joy are now echoes compared to those summer days. We have the forest too so that is giving us our autumn colors.
Your white sandy beach is beautiful...!

I'm never sure which I enjoy more: your lovely poetic wisdom or your photos. However, autumn has yet to show itself here. On Sunday it was 92 F and Monday it was 89 F here. Nights were mid 60s. So, you can tell, I'm ready for that perceptible change you allude to in both words and photos.

I am late visiting, I suspect because Tuesday and Wednesday were a blur brought on by Ibuprofen.

Hi Dorthe, yes our oceans are very different and yet quite similar ... it is a good thing you love the change of season... since you live in such dramatic climate changes!! I got tired of snow and cold and even though the changes here are not as severe, we do have seasons, though they are more subtle, and I like that just fine!! xoxox

I know what you mean, Mary Ann, the absence of tourists brings much change, and a peace.. the changes are subtle but still noticeable if one is perceptible!! Or an artist... LOL!

E, you are always so very sweet, and I am sorry you have been under the weather, hope you are feeling tip top soon. Also hoping you have some cooler temps soon, I know we had an incredibly wet, humid and hot summer and so happy to see the temps drop... let's hope when it comes it won't be too cold!! x
