Littles

I am still waiting for
the flooring to arrive..

dear reader..
and so have not been able to really unpack,

but I did locate the littles...

that I had been working on
before we left
Chessy and got them out..

to varnish them at least..

it makes me itchy to get to work,
but there is so much to do..
I don't have time right now...
we still have plumbing issues..
and alas this home had not been maintained very well...

so we are playing catch up..

the tiny pieces here
are small canvas..
the butterflies are hand printed tissue paper..

which ripped coming out of the old printer..
which died and has been replaced..

the ripped tissue was at first a tragedy and then
I remembered that this show is about the patched.. and tattered wing
that continues to fly..
stitched and strengthened..

I smiled to myself as I found places for the tiny torn creatures..

they are untitled as of now...
but I am sure they will speak to me soon..

I am looking forward to new furniture
which we will choose next week..

in Chessy, I was working on a folding table...
not the ideal...
so we will remedy that next week...

and the days are just packed...
I am however painting...

walls...

not the kind of painting I love...
but painting nonetheless..

C4N!

So glad you turned a potential tragedy into four beautiful works of art.

Sorry to read that you are still in the throes of repairs. At least, I suspect the loud machines are now out of your life!

You need to tuck your camera in your purse and take us shopping with you for furniture. I bet that would be a fun trip.

i too am painting walls...
you new home looks gorgeous and so full of possibilities! i know the water leak was a nuisance, isn't it fortunate it happened before you unpacked? who needs carpet anyway?
you little
'torn wings and unbroken spirit'
artworks are so very lovely...so much detail tightly packed, yet they feel so airy and full of promise.

Lovely little pieces, and lovely concept of the torn wings and torn paper still taking flight and creating beauty, Caterina. I'm glad you were able to do some work despite the chaos of moving and the necessary repairs. Soon you will be all settled in and happily and busily creating to your heart's content!

I wish you (even hard work) happy hours unpacking, and turning your new home, into your wish place, dear Caterina. The little canvases with the torn beauties looks gorgeous...I love you added tulle in some places, too.
Take care dear, and take a tiny time to play every day, too.
Hugs,Dorthe

I like these ... almost a ceramic with a low sheen.
I'm glad you have been able to work between flooring and all other glitches in this move-in. Each day closer and closer to the settled in feeling!

The elegant littles, the small gifts that fill heartfelt moments are miraculous in their soul lifting capacity. (Even while in the midst of wall painting!!!) All will sort itself out in due time and meanwhile all is (essentially) well! Sending positive energy for elbow grease and such!

In regards to your torn butterfly wings...there really are no mistakes are there.
BUT on the matter of plumbing problems and such...well I am sorry you're having to deal with all that but lucky it is something that can be fixed.
Precious littles...no stopping you from creating and I L♥ve that!

oh gosh, somehow I missed this post. Exquisite pieces as always. sometimes I think that things work out in our favor like the torn tissue paper . . . you might never have known how marvelous the gift was until you accepted the result and used them. Many will want to emulate that effect now. :)
