oh yes,
September has come and gone
and I am working on October pages
but there was so much to show you...
so you will forgive
my tardiness
once again....
September was a lovely month
and though my pages look dark, my writing was lighthearted...
hard to tell....
I know, but then
what you see visually is an
inner wrestling...
an art crisis...
if you will...
the real me peeking out from behind the the work...
the full two pages
as you see below...
it says "embodied in this"
is what is stirring up inside me...
ingredients: transfers on paper and transparencies, antique paper ephemera, book pages and water color paper, cloth and handmade paper, packing tape and brown wrapping paper, walnut ink, acrylic paint and pen and ink.
working on lots of projects
and concentrating on art work...
thank you for your most kind
readership
I am certainly blessed to have so
many dear friends
in this very small world...

Oh so love to see the inner you. I do wish my own art could come out so eloquently. My collages just seem to resemble ripped paper :( They are beautiful Catarina :)
ReplyDeleteBeauitful pages Cat, your work always makes me feel so calm even when it's coming from an inner turmoil. I love your combination of tonal colours. Mx

ReplyDeleteI know how you feel, I am always feeling 12 steps behind...but if you take a break from blogging, it's quite easy to catch up with the art. We bloggers understand...
ReplyDeleteThese pages are beautiful...the message...
the struggle...I get it. xoxo
Cat, I have also been missing for a while...but it was lovely today to come here and catch up on all your wonderful posts. I love these pages ....and your photos and journal from Antigua are stunningly beautiful! I always find your blog a relaxing place to visit.

Cat - these are very inspiring and soulful - and oh how I identify with your betwixed and betweened... the second and third images cropped out are very strong to my eye (no pun intended). Then, the final image of all together bring so much cohesiveness - very successful collage!! (I'm reading a few books on collage right now)
ReplyDeleteAlways love your work and processes. Thanks for the inspiration,
xox

These are wonderful pages, they seem a little different to me. Love the use of the black as the focal point and the brown around the edges.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing these.
