july and august art journal pages




whew...

finally...

I am caught up with
my journal pages, it seems I was
a month and half behind ever since the move...



July detail below....





and two page spread...
lots of gardening and landscaping going on here physically
and mentally it seems...

my writing is well below the surface... lots of layers here...




ingredients: acrylic paint, glaze, transfers on paper, pen and ink, collage, colored pencil



and

August....

a bit slower ... especially these last few weeks
the weather is cooler and I have been stitching on my collab with Kim
don't expect anything soon though...

I stitch by hand you know....






since I was already in the threads...
I decided to journal write on muslin
and then stitch upon that ....
it took a while, but ...
it worked out quite well...

ingredients: muslin, paper ephemera, thread, transfers on canvas, sari ribbons, watercolor pencils, antique lace

  7. Talk about being behind. That is ME this month. I always envy you being able to hand stitch your journal pages. They are really both awesome, but I think my favorite is August's with the flowers and love showing in each and every stitch. I'm impressed with both pages and I KNOW how long something like these hand stitched pages must take to make.
