architecture tour

well gentle readers.....

if you find yourself
in
Chicago...
on a hot... hot... day...

I suggest

that you take an

by boat of course on the cool water
of the

the photo above is the restaurant
where we ate a lovely
sunset supper...

while enjoying the river traffic...
and passersby...

not all of these photos were taken from the boat tour

but most were captured...
in the cool breeze and looking straight up...

the Opera Building was magnificent...

and I loved the organic nature of this building and the towers
in the second image... above...

the lower level of Chicago,
at the rivers edge...
was built to haul trash and make deliveries
below the tall buildings and mitigate traffic...

it was a stunning... gorgeous day...

with a remarkable sparkle of shadow and shine...

the Wrigley Building above...
and the new Trump Tower below...

the juxtaposition between design and time...
below...

the view from our room...
with Lake Michigan in the far beyond...

I was taken by the curves and lines...
and the moodiness of the sky...

we had a corner room
that also overlooked the

with that wonderful landmark sign...

so dear ones, I hope you enjoyed the tour...
