ciao, gentle readers...
I have a lot of things going on right now
as you can imagine,
my new garden keeps calling to me
but I wanted to share
some of the photos
that I took
in
Taos
and some sneaky peeks of my new
sew project for
Sew Somerset...
since Mr. La Dolce Vita
had never spent any time in Taos,
I took him on a whirlwind tour
and of course no place would be complete
without a stop at
here is link to their blog...
as you can see, it was a lovely day...
warm and sunny...
the soft light spotted the walkways...
and one of my fav
places on the grounds of the Mabel Dodge
are the bird houses...
so I had to get photos of them
for you...
these are sneak peeks
of my latest sew project
for the winter issue of
Sew Somerset...
and I have an article
and art work in the latest
issue as well...
I will share it with you as soon as I receive
the work in the post...
I created 3 mini concertina
books based on quotes, and they will be
for sale in my Dolce Shop
very soon...
here is a close up of the largest bird house/condo...
and seeing these photos again makes me want to go back
and power lounge in the shade...
Mr. LDV took this last
shot,
I love the repetition...
as always
grazie, grazie
for your kind following
and supportive remarks
I so appreciate
your
generosity of spirit...
C4N!

The light in the southwest is sooo different than where I live...everytime I see fotos from that area of the world I get a burning desire to return......congrats on the publication too.
Beautiful! My hairdresser and friend goes to NM a couple of time so of year. She and her husband have property there but likely won't build on it since they've found out a sewage system is not available there so no water. She is leaving next week to go back for a month and see if she can find a house. Every time she returns, she comes back with the most fabulous artwork and jewelry. The arts and crafts scene there is amazing as you know. Wishing you a wonderful weekend. Tammy

Your Taos posts are always so enjoyable. Am still hoping to get there sometime this summer.
Enjoyed all your news & coverage of your show. You're looking fabulous!
Beautiful sculpted walls. I so love that about the Southwest - but I've NOT been there yet! Someday....
ooo what a lovely tour...looks like a splendid spot and all the more special to share it with your Mr LDV!

Congratulations!! I cannot wait to see in full what you have created for Sew Somerset. And thanks for the beautiful shots of Taos. They bring me back!
Roger
there's no place like mabel's!! i'd called but they were booked. i realize more than ever that it's a big part of what enchants me there. . .i sort of felt "lost" drifting around without that being my home base. we stopped in for a few minutes on saturday, and oh! i didn't want to leave. sorry i'm missing my july workshop there, all protected, nested in, with studio and all fab meals! the cool breezes through the cottonwoods, the view of the mountain, the wonderful staff. NEXT year!
I've never been to NM. It looks like another country! I love the architecture! Thank you for the tour!
Thanks for sharing the photos! I've always wanted to go to Taos, and have heard many wonderful things about that place. I LOVE the photos of the bird houses...looks like such a peaceful place.

Hi Cat, I don't know what I love more...the bird houses or that sweet piece with the bird on it. Hmmm, that's a tough one! GREAT photos, I love Taos, so magical there. Was there many years ago with a girl friend on a Southwest trip, too much fun. Good luck with the article, and look forward to seeing many more! Riki xox
