adornments of the heart

or
ornamenti del cuore
is
the name of my new
jewelry line...

and I thought I would give you a sneak peek
at a couple of the pieces
that will be in the
December show
here
at
EsScentuals
in Fort Collins
on Dec. 3

I have been quietly stitching away
and enjoying the exhilaration of
once again
trying to do something new...

these are just a few of the heart pieces...
of course I have plans for other charms ...
as well
as bracelets and earrings...
but, now you know
what I have been doing in the studio and will be working on
right up until the show!

my ingredients are found objects, antique rosaries, charms, vintage and antique laces, hand dyed fabrics, assorted threads and *milagros

oh... and I have a new post at Bell'Antico
if you have been missing antiques, do pop by!

so...what do you think?
grazie!

Oh Cat I love your jewellery line!! Might have to buy a piece!! And so pleased you like your scarf!!! It´s almost done now so will be on its way next week :-)

And I´ll put a link on your name in my post so other people can discover you - just didn´t make it earlier because we had to walk the dogs and look after the horses before it went dark.

Your picture is hanging in the hall now and I really love it!

Big hug Kirsten

I love combining cloth with metal, as you have done here. There is so much more to jewellery than just diamonds and pearls!! Good luck with your show in December - although judging by these pieces, you will do extremely well!!

the length, and the way they drape so lovely, esp against that green. The hand stitching seems like a secret, old and kept, lives to whisper within.

I find myself very excited about your new line of jewelry... it seems a new take on the scapular, the rosary and the ever evolving art of personal symbol. If I were not such a recluse myself, I would flaunt these relics. Best of luck!

I must admit, these are some of the classiest handmade necklaces I have ever seen. From the focal piece to the necklace (whatever you call that metal), each piece is a genuine work of art in which no detail has been spared. I am truly and delightfully impressed!

I love seeing fabric and metal mixed together so your jewelry is just FINE in my eyes. Have a great weekend.

I like...especially the rosary type necklaces...the hand stitching speaks of the hand that created the piece. Good luck with these!
